On October 24, 2023, I started my own business by making earrings. Before that, I enjoyed doing almost anything creative with my hands. I never thought that owning a business was something that I’d see myself doing in life, because I tend to be the shy behind-the-scenes person. I knew that I wanted to do something that would bring God glory somehow. Making special gifts by hand was a way that I liked to show people love and appreciation, all while getting to express myself through what I called an art. I was making gifts that others could wear or use, whether it was for Mother’s Day, Christmas, or a birthday. Next thing I knew, I started making all kinds of different styles and types of earrings with whatever materials I could try. Shortly after I started branching out to making bracelets and keychains. The more I learned, the more I grew in my skills. That’s how it’s been going since.
The name of my business (formerly Handmade by Sharon) was later changed to Made in Faith Gifts, because my business stands on faith, the kind of faith that you have when you’re intentionally putting all that God has given you to work, not knowing what the end result may be. Even with not being able to see what’s to come, the purpose of this is to give back to Him what He’s blessed me with, to use it for our good, and to do it for His glory. It takes faith and action to make things happen, and in turn, this is to show people that God can do any and everything that you are believing in Him for (with anyone He chooses and anyone who wants it), and to produce good fruit to share with others, even when you can’t see the harvest right away. I want to use and improve the skills and creativity that I’ve been gifted with to continue to bring glory to God, to bring joy to others, and to help build up people’s faith in Jesus Christ.
Made in Faith Gifts makes a variety of unique gifts and accessories by hand. Each one is either made from an original creative thought, an inspiration with a special added twist, or is intended to help share God's Word with the world. Fashions and styles can range from simple, to elegant, to trendy and fun! That's how Made in Faith Gifts came to be.
